The more secular books like Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, Wisdom and Sirach do contain some timeless bits of wisdom. You don't have to be religious to appreciate them.

@Diotrephes You are correct. Those books should definitely remain on everyone's reading list. My boy Solomon was the first to teach me that if somebody will talk about other people to you, they'll talk about you to other people.

The best advice in the Bible you can ever give a child is Proverbs 1:8-19. If parents drilled that into their kids' heads the crime rate would probably go to zero. And it isn't religious.

Ive been saying that for years. Its just so biased antiquated and overly interpretted/translates. I discount any sources older than 30 years. 30 years is the ststute of limitation in New York.
