Do you think there can be someone's else's beliefs opposite/different to yours, that can be as true as yours?

i see religon is tagged on here. I apologize for ruffling feathers in advance and can assure you as I type this I am as calm as a cucumber. Mostly I am thinking about raiding he frig right after this.

I think validaiton in terms of religion is proportional to the evidence that supports. Data and evidence is how we understand our reality until it comes to God and religion --than for whatever reasons all bests are off with personal revelation trumping evidence. I am not sure who that is beneficial to that person or society at large.

In terms of the word "true" true is contigent upon the evidence that supports it.

I think when a lot of people say beliefs it comes down to emotional validations. If you can change that phrase of belief to 'how I feel about" the idea it being emotionally validation focused is probably accurate.

In terms of the softer pieces of religion, if that is the tool for building community or processing challenges in life I am not sure if a validiation is neccessary in an symolically anthropromorphic sense but I see why as a social construct it exists.

@robertsnj this is funny. Because the questioner has no control in what group the bot puts the question.

So even the bot's perspective could be different than the questioners perspective! 😆

And both still could be right! 🤣

Yes

As a example. Some people see colors differently. So one might say this is pure red. And some people might say it's purple. And so they disagree on the colors name.

Who is right or wrong?

Now beliefs are nothing more than things that we have experienced. Yet all our senses are not exactly the same. Further more even the way we think is not the same. Everyones brainwaves is unique.

So our beliefs can both be opposing and still be correct.

Just a different point of view or perspective.

Take one who can see everything all at once? Impossible, yet this is another example.

How can even such a being be correct. When the perspective is focused on everything? And not at a limited perspective.
Yes. I also know that people can entertain opposite ideas and opinions without feeling the need or pressure to adopt them as their own if they don't want. It's a matter of personal choices and respect of those personal choices on either side in the end.

Mine are true to me. It's very evident that other people's are true to them as well.

I think reality is a multifaceted thing that we can't even really begin to comprehend the truth of.

Nope..

Either I'm Right..
Or There Right..
Or we are both wrong and something else is right..
Both of us cannot be right if our beliefs are opposite..

Like beauty, truth is in the eye of the beholder. One persons truth may not be my truth, but in their world it is truth .

Of course. Beliefs are based so much on perspective. A belief is simply your personal reality. By definition it’s not an absolute.

Yes on most things.

No, on some things.
