If we love the God for he will give us heaven, Aren't we selfish?

I think we should love God for he loves us so much that he sent his one and only son to us for our sake.

Most people if not all are not able to just love God… just because. The core or the root of our being is selfishness ( the kind of pride) so we usually love BECAUSE we get something in return….
