Religion is the path to spirituality.

Science is the world of material reality.
Science is methodology and has a track record of working.

@newjaninev2
Besides, what's the alternative?
Alternative to what? If you are happy living twice as long in a world of matter, time, and space, then go for it. Your money can insulate you from poverty and violent crime. Money can buy good food, great times in the company of others with as much money as you have. It's not a bad life actually. I like it a lot. Just don't get sick or run out of money. And stay away from wars and natural disasters. One more thing: death. It can be slow and painful. And that's about it.

@sree251 Have you only just worked out that everything dies, and are you upset about it?

It's the Laws of Thermodynamics doing their thing, and they can be summarised as:

1. You can't win
2. You can't break even.
3. You can't refuse to play.

...which leads to an unavoidable conclusion.

No, I am not upset about the death of the body. I am upset about having to experience the discomfort of its death throes.

The body can be detected by the senses and perceived by the mind. The person that is attached to the body cannot be detected by the senses but is ever-present in the mind.

The material world is filled with things that can be detected by the senses and perceived by the mind. It is the world into which the body is born, lives, and dies.
