How many still worship Maori Gods?
So this is gonna mean nothing to most of you, but my google didn't seem to know and I'm hoping someone here might have some idea
So I'm just a random white guy from small town NZ , I grew up around a chunk of my family (by marriage) who are Maori and follow the Ratana faith, and I got to thinking, anyone who grew up in NZ knows it's not the most religious place, and religion among Maori seems to be generally some form of Christianity (like myself),
But we also grew up learning all about Rangimarie (forgive the maybe bad spelling) and Papatuanuku, (similar but not quite to mother earth and father sky) ,
Does anyone know if anyone still actually worships the traditional Maori faith? I mean fully, any Maori religion info is just about Christianity and the Maori conversion, and it seems like it's quite unlikely anyone still worships the old faith, which is sad
