If you want to meet the truth, you must first free yourself from the slavery of the superstitious subconscious mind and come out of the dark enclosure of religion with the help of the rational conscious mind. Then, being honest, you have to proceed logically like a truth seeker scientist or detective with the aim of uncovering the mystery. There is no place for blind faith in this path. You have to remember that you are human because you have a conscious mind. So as a human being it is your duty to be guided by the conscious mind. The ideal would be to meet each and every moment with what the zens call "beginners mind." Reality is there in front of us, at all times. What do we meet it with? Often it is dead with the past and our presuppositions. It is judged even before we know it.
