If religion is supposedly so liberating then why so many strict rules?

It is sad when a post like this invites pretentious people to attack a holy God.
What strict rules are you talking about?
Do not murder?
Do not steal?

@Aliveshock Each religious group attacks the other religious groups.
Its like my god is better than your god or join our group or burn in hell.

Really? That's a great recruiting tool. Scare them into submission.

I have disdain for all religions. They are male dominate and female passive. Not buying that BS.
@JSul3
At least I smoked you out.
I find most religions respectful of each other except for the occasional Muslim who tries to discredit my Savior.
Science has been turned on its head in big banging and evolution if you haven’t noticed and so these “science believers” bash religions because their so called proof to truth has vanished. This is post Hawking science and I find it exciting and unless you know what you believe i.e. science, I suggest you broach the subject with care so you don’t get embarrassed by the exposure of not understanding what you believe is true!

@Aliveshock Catholic pedophilia and Nazi cover. Southern Baptists breaking away from Baptist over race. Church of Christ: follow us or burn in hell. Mormon cult.

None allow women on the same plane as men. Women are 'less' than men.
BS.
@JSul3
Enough of the cat shit you call facts.
Nice talking to you but you are better off without your caustic delusions.

@Aliveshock Pretentious is thinking your God is my God or should be.
Diotrephes · 70-79, M
@Aliveshock The biblical God character did all of those things. He isn't a good role model except for evil people.
@Diotrephes
I am quite certain you haven’t cracked. Holy Bible in decades.
Your understanding is seriously lacking.
@Graylight
Nice to meet you.
And who might your god be?
Diotrephes · 70-79, M
@Aliveshock I doubt if you even know what the Ten Commandments are.
Graylight · 51-55, F
@Aliveshock Well, that's just the thing. I don't hand out God's business card when I'm meeting new people. That's mine to hold and manage. But as you asked, my god needs no name because the Universe cannot be defined.
@Graylight
You don’t have a god. You are anchored to the natural and the supernatural is not something you have grasped.
How can you give a business card of someone you don’t know or name?
@Diotrephes
That wouldn’t be the only thing you are wrong about.
Diotrephes · 70-79, M
@Aliveshock
That wouldn’t be the only thing you are wrong about.
Can you elaborate on my errors?
Graylight · 51-55, F
@Aliveshock Wow, did you get a degree in omniscience or is it like a DNA thing? I know the God of this world very well. Spent most of my life studying Him. I think bigger these days. How funny when one of you doesn't grasp something; you double down by pretending it's not a legitimate statement.

Worry not, though. You don't have to meet my God. There are no requirements, mandates, retribution or stupid rules. You won't find people like me desperately peddling in things i don't understand. We're busy swimming in the Universe.
@Graylight
“one of you”
ad hominem much?
You have no clue who God is besides the result of creation.
Go back to square one in your theory of God.
Graylight · 51-55, F
@Aliveshock No attacks. You pretend to know my thoughts, I'm pursuing questions as to how you can possess such wondrous powers. You should brush up on your vocabulary.

You win. Is that what you need? To win the "better God" game? You got it. Yours is simply the best, coolest, most fun created theory of origin out of anyone. You are right and you can rest in eternity in your own private Idaho. I hope visitors drop by once in a while to tell you of the world.

Aliveshock has the Best God Ever, who will mock all other gods with the ignorance and darkness of a worm in the earth. But you can win. I and my God need no such desperate validation.
@Graylight
Tethering your god to reality seems a bit touchy.
