My Son came home from school and told me he had an argument with his teacher, the teacher said that the Earth was millions of years old

and of course my Son retorted that the Earth is exactly 6023 years old. My Son went on to say that this is supported by creation science and great scientists like Dr Kent Hovind and Dr Ken Ham. This teacher clearly thought he knew better and said that the dinosaurs were around millions of years before humans. I asked my Son to stop there as I could bear it no more. Does this 'teacher' not know that the illuminati, NASA and the Royal Family of the UK planted these 'dinosaur' bones in 1756 to fool people into thinking that we live on an old Earth. I sometimes despair, is this the level of teaching we expect from the money we pay in our taxes?

Have you heard of scientific carbon dating?
AndysAttic · 56-60, M
@ronisme1 Yes, I have. NASA invented it in 1565 to fool people in to believing we live on an old Earth.
ronisme1 · 61-69, M
@AndysAttic and you do know that the earth was formed before life existed. Too hot to live on and took many years to cool. I put it that i dont know how old the earth is but it could be a million years or it could be 6023 years but carbon dating says its somewhere in between. As a human being i dont know but for anyone to swear an exact year is wrong. And if they are wrong, they shouldnt be preaching that to others. The teacher was wrong to belittle the student and your son was wrong not to respect an adult and not talk back. He should have said im sorry i disagree and left it at that

@AndysAttic i accept your belief and i disagree totally. Thank you

@ronisme1 That is very generous of you Sir.
ronisme1 · 61-69, M
@AndysAttic and Andy, your math says only 458 years. And thank you again
AndysAttic · 56-60, M
@ronisme1 Well, everything else was right.

@AndysAttic I think that was actually the Seminole Space Agency, the predecesor to NASA
AndysAttic · 56-60, M
@SW-User To be honest, I think the Babylonians and others beat them to it.
SW-User
@AndysAttic I don't believe in Babylonians ... I mean, I've never seen a Babylonian ... Babylonians are a hoax
AndysAttic · 56-60, M
@SW-User On a serious note, there are some people that believe this sort of silliness...and it is silliness which pushes science to the side and I find that quite disturbing. Many believe to protagonists of the 'lie'...flat Earthers and such are not believers of it but can make lot's of money deceiving others.
@AndysAttic NASA did not existed in 1565. People were having hard time building boats and ships and colonies. Spanish era and they found america as well.
