How does a person know if they have God's approval?

Some feel that having head knowledge about the Bible gets God's approval. Some feel that wearing religious garb or religious paraphernalia or giving false worship to images or religious idols or having religious pictures and religious items in their home proves that they have God's approval. But is that the case/reality concerning those realistic scenarios?

They don’t.
@SW-User You're absolutely right. Unless a person examines the Bible they will never know if they have God's approval. Question: If a person wanted to get your approval, wouldn't they have to know something about you? Wouldn't they have to know your likes and dislikes and then follow up on what you approve of if they wanted to be your friend?
