In reading the Quran, it raised an interesting question about what happens to those who do not follow the Muslim religion.

The Qur’an says, “Who doeth greater wrong than he who inventeth a lie concerning Allah, or denieth the truth when it cometh unto him? Is not there a home in hell for disbelievers?” (29.068) “And who doth greater wrong than he who telleth a lie against Allah, and denieth the truth when it reacheth him? Will not the home of disbelievers be in hell?” (39.032)

These words are directed at Christians. But one has to ask the question: Who is lying, or who is being deceived?

We must look at the story of Jesus birth for that answer:

“One month later, God sent the angel Gabriel to the town of Nazareth in Galilee with a message for a virgin named Mary. She was engaged to Joseph from the family of King David.

(Luke 1:28-33) And the angel came unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favored, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.

29 And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be.

30 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.

31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.

32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father:

33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob forever; and of His kingdom there shall be no end.

The story here mentions Gabriel who declares that the Son of Mary (Jesus) was to be called the Son of God Most High. Mohammed claimed that Gabriel spoke to him and he rejected the earlier Revelation. Why would Gabriel give contradictory revelations? Who told a lie about Allah? Mohammed? Gabriel? We have the account of Jesus doing miracles that indicated His claim to be the Son of God. Mohammed did no miracles, he claimed only to be a warner. Why believe a person who had no credentials? A man who died, yet over 500 witnesses watched Jesus resurrect from the dead, after His mission was fulfilled and He returned to His Father in heaven. Muslims do not believe Jesus came as Savior of the world. Only as a good prophet/messenger.

What is the goal of Islam? Consider these words from the Quran:

“He it is, Who hath sent His messenger with the guidance and the religion of truth, that He may make it conqueror all religions, however much idolaters may be averse.” (61:9)

Islam is not willing to be a peaceful religion. It has the goal of conquering all religions into acceptance or subordination. This is why there is so much violence in Islam. The Sunnis are killing the Shia and the Shia are killing the Sunnis. Both types are killing other ¨heretical¨ Muslim groups. The killing of Copts in Egypt has been a result of the drive for conquest. The killing of Christians in Africa, the Middle East, and other Islamic countries has the aim of eradicating Christians or forcing their conversion to Islam.

Islam is a religion started by a warrior who ended up ruling over a theocracy

Problematic elements include the fact that Mohammed owned and sold slaves, executed captives - the entire male population of a conquered town down to all boys who had pubic hair - then "married" (otherwise known as added to his harem) the most beautiful woman in the town whose male relatives had literally just been decapitated

As Mohammed took from Christianity and Judaism he took some beautiful bits. One example is in the Talmud. If you kill one person you kill the entire world" but Mohammed added unless they blaspheme against Islam and the prophet (basically himself) and then you should cut off their feet and fingers and crucify them.

My challenge to any Muslim is to demonstrate to me one noble idea of Islam - that wasn't appropriated by the preceding two Abrahamic religions by Mohammed - that is worth the death of one single human being.

I think we can determine the worth of this religion/ political movement/ personality cult by the answer.

*staggers in hungover* the Koran or Quran is just a carbon copy of the Bible. no disrespect to Muslims but I worked with a Muslim. he and I were good friends. and even he said that.

@Jeremi Oh my gosh. There is a huge difference between the Bible and the Quran. Huge. They are nothing alike.
