At t = 0 there was no earth, no water. There weren’t even any fundamental quanta that constitute matter. There wasn’t even any space, because space-time was a singularity. In truth, the gauge symmetries (the symmetries that define how the universe and its forces work) were not even manifest. Even the forces of nature were not manifest. All language breaks down here. Any attribution to creation in a religious narrative is really projection from our own side.
