The importance of greeting people in Islam 🤝 ☪️

Ever wondered why Muslims of all races around the globe 🌍
constantly say “salam aleikum “
Or “May peace be upon you “
And view greeting people as something important?

That is because Prophet Mohammed said : “You will not enter Paradise until you believe, and you will not (truly) believe until you love one another. Shall I not tell you of something which, if you do it, you will love one another? Spread the greetings of Salam amongst yourselves”

(“Greetings of salam “ means greeting of peace )

Moreover Quran teaches :

An-Nisa - Verse 86
{
And when you are greeted, respond with a better greeting or at least similarly. Surely Allah is a ˹vigilant˺ Reckoner of all things
}

&

An-Nur - Verse 27
{
O believers! Do not enter any house other than your own until you have asked for permission and greeted its occupants. This is best for you, so perhaps you will be mindful.
}
