why do people treat the bible as a text book.

When did it happen that the bible turned into a text book? It's a spiritual book based on metaphors. Who would read Cinderella and treat it like nonfiction? "What's the moral of the story" is what we should be looking at

It's meant to depict real events though, unlike Cinderella.

@Spoiledbrat no it's not. it's a spiritual book. Maybe some parts have some truth like certain people or places, but it's far from a history book or science book. c'mon 🤣
I don't mean to say it is a history book just that it is believed to account for some events. It's not comparable to Cinderella. lol. @Millerdog

@Spoiledbrat it was just to illustrate a point. Like a metaphor 🤣🤣
Some parts I'm sure but it's not comparable to Cinderella. Many people believe that parts of the bible are based on true accounts. I'm not an expert but I went to church when I was growing up. It's not really funny to me st all. @Millerdog

So do the Harry Potter books. King's Cross Station, London is a real place for example.

I agree, Cinderella is much better written.
