something's missing

I've been on the old experience project. I'm glad to be back. I wanted to start with what's been on my mind. I'm searching for a spiritual home. Not Christian for sure. (I've been hurt by churches too many times). I've been following the 4 noble truths and the 8 fold path of Buddism. I sit Zazen, but I'm looking for something more.

I have an indigenous background, but don't think I can practice it. I have blonde hair & blue eyes. It's sort of frowned upon. My dad was indigenous & my grandfather went to a residential school, so I identify as that.

I'm not sure what I'm looking for. A group? Friends? People to talk to?

Christianity is not churches...

Christianity is the Holy Bible.. The Word of God..

@allincluded There are online Christian forums where all they do is discuss and debate and you get all the denominational variance you would ever want or not want..

True, but I’m not sure that I even AM a Christian anymore. I mean, I believe in God, but not the way I used to. I don’t think that Jesus was the only one God sent to tell the Good News. @Adstar]

@allincluded Well Jesus and God are One.. Jesus is God manifested in the flesh.. He came down to earth to pay the price of all humanities transgressions.. The Good News is Jesus paid the penalty for our sins and we have been gifted eternity in His perfect eternal existence.. That is if we accept the Gift.. No one else suffered death for our transgressions.. No one else took the punishment.. Jesus did it for those who would accept His gift..

Just a different idea. What do you want from a spiritual home? For example if you want to reach a higher version of yourself, maybe volunteering somewhere is the answer. From what I’ve studied, helping others is part of our highest form

What do you feel is missing?

@SW-User I think that I’m missing discussion and “fellowship” - like minded people I guess

@allincluded there must be online groups of discussions of what you are interested in. There are those 'satsang' groups that come for discussion of spiritual topics. I don't know much about them but you can look around on Facebook and YouTube.
