Do you believe in God and religion? [I Love My Religion]

I know you can read this before you even click. Rude and nasty comments, not here. If you are looking to tell me why you believe a book is nothing and I worship the sky, I don't need to hear it. So move right on along please, thanks!!

I do believe in God and religion. I believe Jesus died on the cross for my sins, and I believe by praying and asking for forgiveness and to be saved, I am saved and my sins forgiven. I also believe what is written in the Bible. Now here's my problem that I am having below:

Revelation 16-17 Also it causes all, both small and great, both rich and poor, both free and slave, to be marked on the right hand or the forehead, so that no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark, that is, the name of the beast or the number of its name.

Now I don't know if I'm in the wrong here with this, but with everything that has been happening lately, I'm tending to tie this verse in with the one and only vaccine. "Getting ready to walk into wally world... "Uh sir, where's your card?" "Oh I see, no vaccine card (mark) no food."

Now one might say, well money could be the mark, but money is talked about in the Bible. If a store wants to deny you service because you don't have a vaccine card, it means you can't BUY or SELL, no mark, no service. I don't know, that's how I'm seeing it. And no I'm not some, crazy, off the wall whatever, I just remember reading Revelations and reading that if the people don't have the mark of the beast, they can't buy or sell, and to me in today's world in which we live, this vaccine sure sounds A LOT like a mark of some kind anyway.

I notice you don't specify which god or which religion. This is typical of Christianity. You pretend those words can have only one meaning.
@LordShadowfire You're sort of trying too hard with that one. He mentions the Bible, a verse from Revelation, and believe Christ died on the cross for his sins. Don't really need to contextualize.

@CopperCicada As a member of a religion that is forever in the shadow of Christianity, I guess it just really bothers me that the word religion is automatically a shorthand for Christianity, or that it can be assumed that Bible stories are universally known. If I were to make a reference to Cerridwen's cauldron, I would end up having to retell the entire story, and then spend the rest of the day explaining why she isn't a demon.
@LordShadowfire Well. I get that. A minority religion here myself.
