I Am Sick of People Arguing About Religion and Politics

I did not vote or care to, on top of not being able to get to the poles anyway. None of those candidates appealed completely to me, and I would have voted for Bernie rather than either Clinton or Trump...but when it comes to what's going on right now, people just need to chill out. What's done is done, and we'll just have to wait and see what happens. I hope good things happen. Some are saying it will be "worse than the Bush years." I doubt it. I don't think Trump is interested in war.

I have a question. My dad is Military so he served in Afghanistan and gulf war. When America was attacked on 9-11, what were we supposed to do? It wasn't just Bush. He was given a mandate by congress.

I really don't know too much about it. I just remember that Bush agreed.

I was asking because you said he was interested in war. The way my day felt was war was brought to is and we had to respond. He felt the President wasn't given a choice. Anyway. Not mad at you. Was just curious as to why you felt that way.

@Gina18: It's not Trump who is interested in war. Bush felt that he had to go to war. Bush was not a very good president.

Okay. Can't stop there. Lol. I'm really curious as to why you felt he wasn't a good President. Cause if it's the recession that happened in 2008, that was gonna happen no matter who the President was. In 1998 President Clinton and a Republican Congress signed into law a bill that allowed anyone to get a home no matter their credit and only have to pay interest for 10 years. Then there would be what they called a balloon payment and those same homeowners would then have to qualify. Guess what year that happened. Yep. 2008. If it's the war, then I'm still curious as to what could have been done different? We can't just let someone attack us and not respond.

I have my opinions, but not saying he was the worst president. I just remember it differently than some.

I will look up the link you sent me. Anyway. Been fun talking to someone who actually debates civilly instead of with hate. Have a good one, 😁

@Gina18: I like to keep the peace. If people can't do that they shouldn't be living in America. Land of the Free, Home of the Brave. You too! Have a wonderful day! :)

Mandate or not do you think that justified the mess that followed ?
G302634 · 26-30, F
@Picklebobble: I wasn't alive when all of that happened. But I would ask you. 3000 of Americans were killed by terrorist, what would you have done if you were President? All I can fall back on is my dad telling me we had no choice. We Had to respond.
Picklebobble · 56-60, M
@Gina18: Wasn't just Americans who died that day.
People seem to forget that.
But ten years ?
At what cost in human terms ?
