Even if I were a normal human being caught by Pilate, knowing that God is with me

I would have bragged when Pilate said to the Lord, "I have the power over you to forgive you". I would have said, "I have the power to destroy you in a few seconds at my one call, so show your power to your kingdom and not me"

But the Lord, in true sense, kept his flesh (Tongue and ego) under so much control that he did not even say anything to the Pilate.

Had he been even a bit uncertain of his future, he would have begged for unconditional mercy, but he did none of the two, which shows his full confidence, his strong character and above all, the Godly characteristic of being in full control of his body at such a harsh time.

This incident makes me feel to have control over what I say, when I say and to whom I say.
Amen!!! Yes indeed, it truly shows that he was God because he was in complete control of his flesh. He could have wiped everyone out with one word but he didn't because he knew his mission and that he wanted to accomplish it. Only God could control himself in such a way. He showed the same strength on the cross. He could have called down 10,000 angels to rescue him, but he wanted to complete his mission, so that he could save us from hell. Great post! Thank you for pointing those out.

....ego under control??? If Jesus Christ had any ego at all....the devil would have a reason to keep Him in hell..... Jesus Christ had no ego...unlike us sinners, walking egos...He was spotless, selfless, sin-free, only love

Not according to the Gospel of John, 18, verses 28 to 38. Pilate and Jesus had quite a yarn!

@walabby Not that I know of.

@walabby The tone and the meaning changes as you translate the real version more and more. But still, I see decency.
