It's just around the corner. Argue.

Daylight Savings Time.

It never saved any daylight.
It never saved any energy.

It just shifted the clocks the sun never changed schedule.
It doesn't save energy just shifts when it's used.

I refuse to accept some of the reasoning especially related to farming.
As the seasons change the farmer could have got his A$$ out of bed an hour earlier or later if he needs the light. The markets could have adjusted their schedules as well.
And so could the schools for the kids and the overthinking parents who allowed this crap to begin with it.

Go on fight over whether to continue this nonsense or not. I'm going to be me and insist no matter what everyone of you is wrong.
Mankind invented the clock and has the right to smash it.

Come on Sun and Moon let's go have a drink.
Look their eyes are crossing already.

I like the later light hours. I am a night owl so I don't care at all when the sun rises

I'm with Thrust on this one.

Yes, DST gives more daylight in the evening and loses the same amount of daylight in the morning, but I do far more things in the evening than in the morning that can use the daylight.

@Thinkerbell Yes. I prefer the evening light also. I guess where my mind is is that the change shouldn't have been implemented in the first place. Historically we can actually thank New Zealand for the modern interpretation.

However
Ancient civilizations adjusted daily schedules to the sun more flexibly than DST does, often dividing daylight into 12 hours regardless of daytime, so that each daylight hour became progressively longer during spring and shorter during autumn.[19

If you ask me our ancient ancestors had it together better than we do. But that would drive a wanna be clock maker insane 🤣

@Gibbon

Well, that would work only in an ancient agrarian society where people kept time by the local position of the sun, and weren't concerned about the local time anywhere else.

I like the longer days. It’s already 6:42 pm and already dark.

God how I wish they would do away with it. It was joyous living in a state that did not observe that.

Needs to be done away with. Trump may be able to do it eventuality.
