Story time.

Today has been an adventure. As of a week ago today, I had recently just moved. Today I went for a stroll around the town. I met someone in town who wanted to speak because he had never seen me before. I had told him I was originally from a small town called Derby. I had just recently moved here due to the fact of the program that I'm in. I am in a program to where the goal is to live independently. My goal has been reached and I am now living independently. The man had asked me why is it that you seem so cheerful? And I told him put simply it is because one day I woke up and said I didn't like the person I was. I woke up and I said I'm going to change my life. That was a year ago. Now look where I am. I am in a beautiful area where people are friendly. Where I am from, people were always very toxic to me. The man had asked me why were people so toxic to you? I had said to the man because I have done many things in my life that I am not proud of but it does not define me for who I am now. I had also said to the man that today is the beginning of my new life. Independence is a lot of fun. My next step is to grow my social network to where I can speak to people without them being afraid of me. I sort of come off strong but once you get to know me I'm a wonderful person to be around. Then the man had left after we shook hands and he said goodbye. He had told me he had somewhere to be. I hope to God I get to see that man again when I go out for a walk again. My next adventure hopefully will lead me to my next goal. Which is to build a social network to where I can talk to so many people who are not judgmental of me or my past
