Stupid Board of Governors

The putter patter of the raindrops
That drop outside my window
During the day there’s music they play
But at night they’re just a million minnows

Swimming through my mind like beasts
Plaguing all my dreams
Ruining my chance at sleep
It makes me want to scream

The drip upon the metal roof
That lies just there below
I can’t escape the hectic beats
That to my ears they do bestow

I’ve complained about a hundred times
But the board they don’t seem caring
About the plight of my nights
And the drip drops that I’m hearing
