Just call me crazy.
More than a few months ago, I started 'box breathing.' I did a little research on it on the web, and I discovered a few things. First, it is used by army rangers, delta operators, and green berets. Second, the whole deep breathing technique helps the brain release a chemical called serotonin which aids in helping calm a person, stabilize their mood, and sllow them to think more clearly.
Another technique I came across is a mindfulness exercise also used by the military.you take a deep breath to center yourself, then focus on the moment. Don't think about what 'might' happen, think about what 'is'' happening.
To me, it just feels like I have the ultimate key(s) to handling stress and anxiety.
