From tomorrow I'll hand my phone to the office.

No phone, no books, no talking. No reading or writing.
No communication, eye contact or touch. Sounds like the casual me, apart from the phone 😂😂
Joking joking...

Noble silence for 10 days and an exhausting meditation schedule with bells ringing all day long, leaving no space for you to think much, daydream, plan, or whatsoever the brain likes to do.
I've attended two more of these Vipassana courses of Goenka tradition, the last two years and this will be my 3rd one. I've also served in one, but not a whole one, half.

I've gone also for a week of meditation in Thailand but that wasn't so strict with rules and schedules and you could even talk a little bit..

All the best for the 10 day Vipassana session !!

I hope after 10 day you will have improved mastery over your breath and mind.

In my area getting registered for 10 day Vipassana is difficult, as there are too many applicants and the seats are limited. They provide it free, it's up to you to donate or not. You have to plan in much advance.

@ABCDEF7 everywhere it's like that, free with donations... And depending on the center you might need to book ahead..
Thank you, I'll see what happens 🙂

@being Yes, the initiators of it wanted it to be free. You can also volunteer if you get good over it. It's also a way of paying back.

@ABCDEF7 I'm actually volunteering here all this time during the maintenance period ..
Before that I volunteered few days as a server for other meditators..
Have you frequented these courses ? I guess you have but I am asking as maybe you are practicing something different and I can't know..

@being I am not as fortunate as you, busy/entangled with parents and material life. I didn't got opportunity to join Vipassana Meditation Course. I am more inclined these days in exploring the paths of Gyan/Advaita and Karma.

If I would get opportunity to practice any Buddhist form of meditation, I would like to prepare and advance myself towards Phowa.
