The thing about great relationships is that it's more than just you and someone else.
Great relationships start with how you feel about yourself and how you go about loving yourself because if you can't love yourself for all the problems you have and if you're unwilling to support yourself and make yourself a better person... what makes you think you can do that for someone else?
I can assure you that when you meet someone you like terribly, you'll have to learn how to love them not just for who they are, but you're going to have to be able to accept their flaws and support them and help them grow.
The way that starts is with yourself because telling yourself you love yourself is really easy. You're in complete control.
When you tell someone else you love them, you're leaving it up to chance that they feel the same way.

no man is an island, and i guess you were not with the right person, being alone doesn't mean you're lonely, you just chose to love yourself first before sharing yourself with someone.
