I Wish I Was In a Great Relationship

my bf wants to build our future by saving to purchase a piece of land. He asked me to take a loan n give him half the money to assist him in getting this land, since he wont get a loan as he dont have a savings as his work has been slow for almost two years. He will.pay back his half of the loan. I didn't take the loan and now he's pissed. He said that we are still together but not treated each other w even a bday present. The thing is my name wasnt gonna be on the land.

How was he planning on paying you back if work is slow and he doesn't have savings? You did the right thing. If he was a decent guy, he wouldn't have asked you to do that. Might be time to move on if he is pissed off at you and not treating you right. Don't be a doormat.

@destinyfabulous What does your gut tell you? Personally, I wouldn't do it. If you're married and have the same goals, that would be a different story. If you feel really pressured and don't want to kick him to the curb yet, ask him if he's willing to sign a loan agreement, saying he'll pay you back. This way, if he doesn't, you can sue him for it. If he refuses, you'll know where you stand with this guy.

@Danez his idea. When I told him that I didnt take the loan he said I dont care abt him. What adds to his anger us the fact that I leant my friend money two years ago before we started dating and haven't been paid.
