It starts off innocently enough.

Then before you know it, what began as a casual conversation at social settings ends up a complete waste of time. You're never going to be compensated for it. You walked away empty handed and your soul asking 'what just happened?'
You know people like that. You've had similar encounters. They're a vacuum to the energy of any instrument measuring time.

I call them "clock suckers"

I rarely meet people like this. I think because I'm really good at small talk, and very few of those people make it to the deeper parts of my Psyche.

Also I realise there are a few people who only really start engaging to find out if you can better their life in some way and those people show their colours instantly.
I leave it where it is and take it for what it is and move on.
