Within the ache of agony
Inside the slipping timelines
I wonder where I'm meant to be
Or if I should be sidelined

Wasted wants all washed away
Just a chain of shattered links
Dreams and Death both intertwine
Like a demon named a Saint

Fires raging from the wars
While souls are torn asunder
Clouded skies just roil on
To welcome the next thunder

Lightning crashing into hearts
Minds all filled with anger
And standing against all of that
Was just the kindness of a stranger
