There are men with money who will pay for the illusion of willing company. That may or may not involve sex or sexual acts. It is born of loneliness, the wielding of artificial power, or both on the part of the male. For the female, it's a form of prostitution but with a regular client and perhaps a level of exclusivity.

@SW-User sugar daddy or sugar dating is one of many ways to escape loneliness nowadays. i don't understand how people are still lonely despite being glued to their smartphones. i rarely see people smile, greet at each other, they're much busier with phones but at the end of the day, there are still bunch of them claiming to be lonely and opting for all kind of funny relationships.
