What if I never get over him? What if he was my person?

Poppies · 61-69, F
I believe everyone has more than one possible person. You will probably get over him after enough time has passed.

@Poppies

I agree. Many people whose spouses have died have found love again and sometimes again if misfortune struck once more than once.
@RenFur The lucky ones, in my opinion. Many are unlucky.

It's all in the genes or the mindset, imho. I can't believe - for one second - Trump has ever been in love. In lust for sure but not in love.
My opinion: Everyone you know shapes you. If a relationship ends, it’s because it didn’t fit. But if you live on welcoming love, the right shapes will develop.
There's billions of people on Earth..I don't believe anyone has one specific person

It may not feel like it now, but you will get over him. It’s cliche to say that it just takes time, but it’s true. The key is that you have to move on. Don’t dwell on it and stay busy. You will find yourself thinking about them less and less.

@Imsleepy it's been 9 months

@Nutshell29 Have you fully accepted that the relationship is over or are you maintaining hope that you two will somehow reconcile?
Ferric67 · M
Well, I'm convinced that I had the mate for me
And
Well, it didn't work out since she begged to differ 🤷‍♂️

Meanwhile, I have had a multitude of others look to find their connection with me

If he was then you'll cross paths again. If he wasn't then he was an experience so you'll appreciate it when your actual person comes around
bluerose · 26-30, F
If he was your person he wouldn’t be gone.
pdockal · 56-60, M
Either he is or isn't
then he was your person, but you can still live wout him..
