Help, I live in a sexless marriage!

My wife is catholic, quite a few months ago she was told by her church that we must live as brother and sister because her previous divorce of many years ago was not recognized by the catholic church! So she is taking this as law and will not allow me to make love to her or even touch or see her without clothes. I'm at my wits end with this, any help here?

If the catholic church is claiming it, I'd visit the priest and let him know he screwed up your marriage and you're leaving your wife of 30 years and it's his fault. See what his reaction is.

@carpediem did that, he just pointed to a verse in the bible where it states no divorce. They don't care about our relationship

@ValkyrieRider Exactly. They don't care. And I know you don't want to leave her. But it's time she look at reality and make a decision. Find a way to fix this, or you're a free agent. No need to get divorced.

@ValkyrieRider I get it. All these years and now its an issue? This is why even though I was raised catholic, I passed when marriage came around. Is he saying all these years of loving each other and God and suddenly it's all for crap? Your wife needs to add it up and make a choice. Or...provide a way to fix it

@carpediem in process with that, but she has been told she has to find her ex and have the church talk to him, she has no idea where he is so its at a stalemate! They must talk to him to go any further.

It is that easy though. If she loves the church more than the 30 years you've spent together then she belongs in a nunnery.
