Does height matter to you in a relationship?

I have a friend who really liked a girl and she told him he was too short he was so heartbroken about it. He just messeged me again saying its happened again with another girl. I told him that maybe he should try to date shorter women if he sees this as a problem and it keeps happening. Idk what else to tell him. Other people have their preferences and he should to.

I'm married someone slightly shorter than me a few inches. There were some things that were uncomfortable for him and I was considerate and I'm not going to complain about not being able to wear heels because I wore them when I went out with my girlfriends.
I loved him for him and it didn't matter.
Before that I did have some dates with a smaller person (forgive me i mean no offense ) I wasn't aware of it because I met the person online and they didn't tell me until the day we were supposed to meet. I decided I wasn't going to let it get in the way. If something good was going to come out of it you can always work around that stuff , if it's meant to be, You find a way... The first guy I dated was 5 in taller than me....... There are other things for me that are more pressing than someone's height
