helenoftroy2000 I disagree. It is not that simple. At least it isn’t that cut and dry for everyone and especially if they prefer to remain together for whatever reasons they have.
Most of the time staying together IS A CHOICE.
(I am not talking about the obvious reasons to split such as mental and physical abuse or anything falls into dangerous categories.)
Choosing to remain a couple, a team, partners—is made using our hearts, minds, experiences and life’s practicality.
Where ppl are in their lives both mentally, physically and age too, makes a difference.
My parents divorced when I was 11.
After 25 years of marriage.
The reasons were complex. But all reasons were health rooted with both of them. If they had access to the proper healthcare I believe (as do my siblings) things could have been different.
My point again—-it’s not that simple.
