Loss of friends

I have recently lost 3 good friends due to who I voted for. I’ve known these 3 ladies for 18 years and we were very close. I can’t tell you how shocked I was, and sad. They have known for years who o supported, but this year they decided to cut ties with me bc their candidate lost. Anyone else gone through this?

Sorry to hear that you lost friends over this.

I know people whose family members have rejected them (parents and children, siblings) and will not have anything to do with them because of their difference of opinion in who they supported in the election. It is sad to think that people let political ideologies divide their family.
