Loss of friends

I have recently lost 3 good friends due to who I voted for. I’ve known these 3 ladies for 18 years and we were very close. I can’t tell you how shocked I was, and sad. They have known for years who o supported, but this year they decided to cut ties with me bc their candidate lost. Anyone else gone through this?

However, I don't discuss politics with people I don't trust.

It's their loss, you will make other friends.

@Mbingh01 The whole thing just seems ridiculous to me. It's like breaking a friendship over a sports team. People who talk and behave like that are not your friends. Friends have empathy for each other. If they are willing to toss the friendship aside over your voting preferences, I can't see how the relationship was meaningful in the first place.
