i mean felons can be the united states president so 🤷♀
fr tho my uncle is a felon and is doing great and hes only been out for, like, 5/6 years after a 20-something year sentence the second time. not sure how long it took him to get his own place but for sure he did after about 2/3 years out. i think it greatly depends on your wealth and support system

@Frostcloud that’s great to hear!!!
It depends on the resources the person has at their disposal. A church , job and personal connection can bring dramatic opportunities for living plus if someone has financial resources or the qualifying income they can outright buy a house.

They can. I had a buddy who was arrested for meth manufacturing and distribution when we were decades younger. He served his time and then some [psychologial rooted behavioral problems in his early 20s, he grew out of]. He's been out for years and the felony still haunts him when it comes to securing housing and new jobs that are actually sustainable.
That said, he is working and housed.

@Starcrossed I’m glad he’s okay. I ask this question because i work with someone who has a felony history and is staying at home with his mother at the age of 50 !! Smh so sad.

@Creolequeen he's okayish. He's struggled with mental health on and off and did have a self admitted stay on the psych ward for a few weeks this past summer. Neither of his parents are in his life so his only support is his friends.

There are felons here living in homeless shelters and some are camping in wooded areas in this city. So yeah I think they do have a hard time, especially these days when affordable housing is not easy to come by for someone who is wanting to start over.

I don't know about that and honestly, there's just one question on my mind and it reads,
Where did you get that screenname from?

They latch onto a person with no record and then move in with them.
