Maybe it just seems that way. Maybe they are somewhat exaggerating, as men often do when it comes to women. If it's true, maybe it's because married men are less desperate in the main and that is more attractive. I don't believe that this is a widespread thing though. Most married men are no more interesting than most single men. Most people are not so attractive that they're chased after. I think that this largely exists as a married man's fantasy that isn't based in reality.

I don’t think there’s really a direct correlation. He might be attractive, have money, be a great conversationalist. He might show her attention without obvious strings, or be more sincere. He might be a better listener.

Regardless, yes, women can be more friendly, but most do draw the line at stealing a married man.

But personally I don't find anything attractive about married men. If he cheats on his wife he isn't serious about me. Or her. And that just seems like a crappy situation.

I understand it happens, I was married once and it was the worst.

I think it's in a way a ego boost for them. They take someone else's man and often dump them as now they have got them, they dont want them anymore.

I think there's an assumption that if a man is married he must be decent/have traits worth wanting in a partner.

They are safe to not want to be or can be in a relationship.

For some it’s just for the thrill. A bit like some women try to turn a gay man straight. I can guarantee that when a woman is seriously looking for a relationship she’s only looking for a single man.
