For people who are married but would not do it again, what are your reasons?

I know folks who are together and happy but regret marriage due to limits it put on government assistance and credit shenanigans. What are your 'never again' or 'wish i hadn't' reasons? This is largely for people who are otherwise happy with their partner

Those are not my “reasons” but those sound like financial reasons that people use to survive. My reasons are many. I’ve made too many mistakes? In part I did not know myself well as I thought, and there are no REAL books about what to expect with marriage and aging… it’s quite an experience to be married. And you NEVER know what it’s like… a lot of the cliche’s good and bad are true, but just momentary humor? Thanks for asking. If I ever answer, I think I will respond by writing a book.

Hm. I am basically the marrying kind. I like learning the things you learn about a person sharing space with them year after year. I don’t get bored. I make a good partner and wouldn’t base the decision either way on what I think of as business considerations. I often wish I hadn’t though, and don’t imagine I ever would again. I just don’t have any sense when it comes to choosing a partner. 🤷‍♀️

There's only one person I would have ever legitimately married, and I let them down harder than anyone I've ever hurt anyone in my entire life.

That's the stupidity we can subject ourselves to.

Simply: I am not the marrying type!
Violent rape and coercive acts.
