Why is it so difficult now my peers have children and I’m still single?

My some peers I’ve known since high school either are married/getting married or having children/have children and me……still flying solo. I’m 28 and they don’t wanna do the things we used to. And of course we’re not we’re not teenagers anymore. Do you ever talk about is their kids and help their kids are doing things. I mean I’m very happy for them but I want to have adult fun. But all they want to go it’s like a kids birthday party or kids theme or whatever. I mean I understand that but I want some adult fun with just them but feel like that we’re drifting apart. I’m still single. I mean I’m not ready to have children yet but I’m not rushing into married with children because I’m not ready for that but I want to be able to experience it before I leave this world.

🤷🏻‍♀️ When you have kids it’s very challenging to find time away. Childcare is expensive. You have routines that semi-maintain harmony in your life/minimize stress. Even when you do your own thing your kids are usually on your mind to some extent. You also intentionally rearrange your life to be kid-friendly for their well-being and you do kid-friendly things because that’s the path of least resistance most of the time unless you’re the sort of person who can afford a nanny lol..
