Stupid criminals stories
Here is a place to share stupid criminals stories. The first 2 come from my own life. The first happened when I was in graduate school. My wife worked for the university and we were living in married student housing. Since we only lived a few blocks from where she worked she walked. On her route was a crosswalk in the middle of the block with a stop light that turned red on demand. They had been having trouble with people running the light so they stationed a plainclothes policeman there. On one crossing my wife had pushed the button, the light had turned red, my wife stepped of the curb and a man ran the light only to be caught by the policeman. It was his 3rd ticket. It included an endangering a pedestrian charge. He was loosing his license.
The second incident occurred when I had been working the 3 to 11 shift at work. From our kitchen window you could see where I turned off the highway to come home. My wife was watching for me out the window when she noticed a man looking in the window next door. She knew that there were no men in the household so she called the police. They parked a block away and walked in from opposite sides and caught him peeking in the teenage daughters window and masturbating. They had been trying to catch him for some time.

A man got caught robbing a bank because he used a deposit slip from his checking account to write his hold up note. Another got caught trying to deposit his hold up money into his own account. A burglar broke into a deli. He was caught when the police followed the trail of coleslaw he left behind.
And my personal favorite. A man broke into a warehouse. While there he pried the lid off one of several barrels of industrial strength glue and started sniffing it. Eventually he passed out tipping the glue barrel over and glued himself to the floor. To quote Bugs Bunny, "What a maroon."
