I was kinda different, but I was super excited to turn 30. I looked forward to it for years. I just never looked at being in your 20s as being an actual adult and I thought when I turned 30, I'd have a little more "age related authority". I actually love my 30s. In my case, in this stage of my life I make better money, I have more freedom, I am more self assured... Just things that had to come with time.
It sounds cliche, but every year really is a gift that isn't promised and not received by all. Just enjoy!

@ElizabethBabe1994 There really isn't a reason to get excited about any birthday after 21. But no reason to get hung up on the numbers either. I remember being 30. It was a whole lot like being 29. And 31.

30 is still fairly young and you will still be called young lady/young woman from time to time, believe me. I was referred to as that until the age of 35, hahaha.

🙄 Just wait until your 40s when you have real life perspective. ;) I'm all good with aging gracefully. I don't dread it nor complain about it. Life is as good as you make it regardless of age.

Eh i've got 3 and I don't care anymore. It really is just an indicator of earth cycles. We have these weird pressures we put on ourselves to match this idea of what we're "supposed" to be, but it's all silly really.
