What makes the royal family so special? Why does EVERYBODY adore them all so much?

And care and talk about it when they marry, or have children? What makes them truly worthy of the admiration and love from everyone? What did they do? They were born into royalty, they didn't even earn it and they don't even make any difference politically they dont really do anything. Wtf do they do? What does Queen Elizabeth do? What does Prince Harry do? Etc. Do they make laws for the United Kingdom or what? Like idk it confuses me

They own the army which stops the government going crazy with power. That's why in the UK, we don't need guns. USA should get a monarchy too, it's much simpler and would mean no more high school shootings.
