hello, why do you think most people online hide their identity, paticularly the men?
i think its because they are married or in a relationship and are hiding? lol

I'm sure plenty to do it for the reasons you said...as well as safety, anonymity. I've always seen a site like this as a means for people to connect through experiences....which you don't always need an identity to do. I could read a post by a completely blank account and if what they are writing about I see as a shared feeling/experience...life doesn't feel so alone regardless of who they are.

@SW-User i do agree with you to a point but when i see men on here exploiting women and degrading them i lose it and yes the intentions of sites like this is to help each other but these people who come on here and lie and cheat with the intentions to hurt for their own selfish reasons are dogs in my opinion and when i see it happening i comment, i am not scared to do that because you dont know who is reading this stuff who needs real help because of abuse or whatever and im here and i will help them the best i can...do you understand what i mean?

@LindaM And I agree with you...plenty use it for the wrong reason. I mean I hide my identity to the extent of personal information...there needs to be trust for that sort of thing. But generic information like marital status I don't think is anything worth hiding. Some are more private than others. But being private as a means of misleading is a completely different thing...and I'm sure plenty do it.
