hello, why do you think most people online hide their identity, paticularly the men?

i think its because they are married or in a relationship and are hiding? lol

I used to not hide anything was pretty open. Met someone who had access to private record searches through her job, found out a ton of information about me after about a week of knowing me, including my address.

I got a tiny bit more private after that.

Yikes!

Not sure if most realize how easy it is to find out pertinent info about us on-line. Going by only a few details and some searching, it can all be uncovered.

Just general things like..first name, state you live in, month of birth, what type of occupation you have, when a close family member died. Those types of things..

@Magenta This person just had my general area, first and last name, she found out everything, credit history, addresses, relatives, etc.

But that's all that is needed. General things. People would prob be surprised to find out how much about them is on google. Search your real name there sometime..

@Magenta Indeed, I do know this lady had access through her job to more than a general Google search, but you are 100% right in that Google can have a ton of info.
