I Am Married But Lonely

I am going through a difficult time in my life. While my spouse is great in a lot of aspects, she is not a great listener. We have fallen out of love and it seems like we have a lot less in common these days if any at all. At this point it feels like a relation of responsibility. I feel really lonely and not having any good friends doesn't help either. Anyone want to vent or just talk to me? I am here for you. If anyone would like to share similar experience or want to extend their friendship, it would be amazing.

I know it sounds cliche but marriage counceling would be a great option.

It does sound cliche. We might try that. The thing is we are not hating each other, its just we don't along much anymore.
@nightwing316: Marriage is hard work.. but it's definetly fixable. Think of it as having a new car.. it runs great in the beginning.. but after awhile it starts to wine down and have issues.. you take it to get fixed and it runs like new again. I've been married 20 yrs, btw.

@pinkrainbowkisses: That is an interesting analogy. I have been married for 11 years. We have gone through lots of ups and downs together. I just feel lonely at this point not just because of my marriage but not having a close friend in life.
