I think it's over-rated as a necessary milestone and right of passage into adulthood and that kinda undermines and devalues it into a box to check instead of being fully taken seriously and protected as something special.

When the right two people find each other that can actually build it and really have that bond it really is beautiful art. But it's over rated as something everyone has to do to by a certain time, and juts try it. and crap like that makes it a trap for a lot of folks because they go into it as a box tk check to level up in life and status. People are conditioned tk do the samething with kids often times and it just kinda makes a mess of something that's really is something. I think it puts some unreasonable expectations on it and also breaks up the family more than it saves it.

But you can't look at some married couples and say what they got and the vows they have are over rated. We're just jaded because checking of the box for the sake of checking it off is over rated
