What's the point of marriage then, if you live together before. You can't PRE do or live your married life before by living together. It takes many years of learning and experiencing along the way.

@Magenta The point of marriage is mainly legal re shared assets, financial obligations, etc.

@ChipmunkErnie Maybe to some. If you have children I think it's beneficial.

@Magenta Probably mostly in the legal sense re the children.
@Magenta right

@Magenta So, let me put this scenario out there, and see if you still have the same opinion.
Let's say you get married to a guy who's charming, persistent, and highly motivated to achieve his goals. One day, you wake up and you realize that's just another way of saying he's full of himself and doesn't take no for an answer. Now you're stuck in a marriage with this guy who always gets what he wants, never takes no for an answer, and tries to play it off by being charming. But you just know that a divorce is going to be expensive, so you remain in this unhappy marriage until you're ready to off yourself.
Would your opinion change?

When one gets married, it becomes WE and that's how one matures in a relationship with the partner.
