Not really.
Partnerships require work.
And the stresses and strains of modern life mean that everyone has priorities before you even get together.
If a couple are entrenched in earning a living that often means they have work commitments and dealing with the cost of ridiculous outgoings.
I wonder where people think they'll get the time for each other.
In some economic circles it might make sense to pay one rate for rent/mortgage but once you do that you wonder how on earth you both managed to keep two places going.
And god forbid it all goes wrong, you have to start all over again.
