My wife and Desmond had their first interaction

Him and I reunited while she was in my sister’s house. We were sitting together by the pool when she came back out. Like I’ve said, they’ve met before, but haven’t interacted since him and I started our relationship. When she was approaching, I told him I wanted to him to meet with her and he looked nervous right away, as expected. But when I was reintroducing them, my wife gave him a hug. I was very pleased to see that. Desmond seemed a little taken aback by it, but I hope that reassures that my wife approves and even supports my being with him. They exchanged pleasantries for a bit before wifey said she’d let us be while she goes and does own thing (which she always does anyway when we’re at my sister’s parties). Desmond was a bit awkward, but it didn’t get weird at all. Hopefully after this, it’ll be nothing but laid back, pleasant exchanges from here on.
