How is your marraige ?

I have been married for 24 yrs
When i got married to her our pastor asked me if im sure i want to get married to her cause we are completely different in every way

Conversation and sex has dried up and a person can tell that she doesnt like me anymore....not even happy to see me or anything.......is this normal ?

She tends to blame me or want to pick a fight randomly

I heard from someone if a women still fight with you she still cares for you ......but i can physically see she has dried up towards me

Fifty year and we have always been true partners in life. (Yes. I know how lucky that is) At times we argued and I didnt always win. But in the end we had thw same life goals, which meant we always faced the same obstacles together..Looking back, I couldnt have done it without her , nor she without me. Now her mind isnt what it was, although so far she is still herself. So I am here with her, steering her and supporting her, as long as I am able..😷

Wow, it sounds ominous. Fifty years is a relationship made in Heaven. Are you scared?

@sree251 Terrified every day she would see through me.. But we did the dementia thing twice before with both mothers. I just hope I have another one left in me..😷

@whowasthatmaskedman It's not a funny matter, my friend. I saw this movie. It was a situation like yours. Long relationship. Man loved his wife and couldn't bear watching her staring into the air. He put a pillow over her face and snuffed her out.

@sree251 No. Its not funny at all. But my wife was a nurse in aged care and even now her dementia is something she recognises and only effects her short term memory mostly. So we can still share a laugh over some things, over and over..And no one makes it through whar we have without a sense of humour..😷

@whowasthatmaskedman Short term memory? It happens to me all the time. The moment I leave the kitchen to go into the pantry, I forget why I went into the pantry to get. I forget people's names seconds after being introduced.

@sree251 This is more like asking the same question every 10 minutes. I mustered my will and took her out for a casual meal with a couple of her old friends who are up to speed on her condition. . Five times in the car I had to explain where we were going, (she gets anxious outside her routine) and she is still asking me about her friends new home at least once a day. On the up side, she can watch her favourite shows over and over..😷

@whowasthatmaskedman You must have married her right out of high school. Relationships like yours are what young people need for getting through the struggles of life. You are now her wingman returning with her from a combat mission in life. Bring her down safely, pardner.
