now seems like a great time for the Dems to try and ram a bill through that protects gay marriage, "sodomy," interracial marriage, & contraception

everyone already knows that you'd never get 10 Republicans to sign off on an abortion rights bill, but holding the line on all that other shit would be considerably harder.

Hell, they could even split it up into a bunch of different laws if that helps. God knows Congress isn't doing jack shit anyway, so there's little risk of wasting time.
