To commit or not to commit

All my siblings both older and younger than I have either a spouse or a child to keep them occupied. They’ve moved onto the next step in their lives. Whilst I love being single and not having to commit to relationship I do miss companionship, like, a lot. Pretty much everyone who I socialise with including both my immediate and extended family always ask me when I’m gonna settle down and the reality is that, I’m not actively looking for a spouse, or not really on the ‘to-do’ list. I turn 26 next month and I guess the cultural and also faith based stereotype is that I probably should’ve have a child of my own by now. I adore children, just ask my nephew, he gets whatever he asks me 😂! It’s not easy finding someone who you really click with, for me, I need someone who’s active in their life so that when we both have free time, we can enjoy each other’s company. My mum always says, “Ray, even if you elope, I don’t mind, just come round with her and introduce me” - mum is so chill with me. Perks of being the black sheep of the family 😏

It seems like women prefer cold men with a cold cynical attitude, the type who goes out of his way to trash romantics those who have feelings and those who are touchy feely. Guess what? Nobody wants to be harassed by a romantic

@NestChicken I disagree! I, as a woman, find women enjoy romance, and often receive far too little of it. Perhaps you chose cold women. I wish a romantic to "harass" me.

@PoetryNEmotion is that really true? Most women I’ve met seem icy cold to me, some are warm but they take the excuse of being creeped out by romantics. Women give the impression that they don’t want any romance at all

@NestChicken I cannot speak for others-let them answer you. I don't find man men really romantic. My ex-bf wrote me love letters upon mirrors. I was astounded. Even little messages with erasable marker. I cannot think of any men-dated or in my life-otherwise, who were romantic and loving. Creeped out? I can hardly imagine. Perhaps, again, it is the women you are attracted to? I speak the truth as best as I can.

@PoetryNEmotion most of the women I’ve met were heartless and stone cold didn’t care about me or just put on an act. I need to be romantic and I can’t deal with women who act like dead corpses.
